Last night we were falling asleep and she says “last night I had a dream I worked in a factory and everything we made had your face on it.”

I asked Nick to take a pic. Because I want to remember it. Forgetting has been a fear, a repeated theme that’s coming up a lot lately.

I was too tired to ask what they made at the factory. And that doesn’t really matter.

All I could say was “I love you too Claire Bear”.

The truth is this is a moment I probably won’t be able to forget. The way our people communicate their love to us without outside just saying “I love you” leaves something.

This week I went to see my grandma. She doesn’t remember much. And she can only say “I love you”. I can see in her eyes that she knows what that means. And of all the things she’s forgotten she hasn’t lost touch with how important it is for us to communicate that.
